Monin, from France. The taste is jammy berry with the tart edge blackberry has when it is not buried in sugar. Summer drinks are where it earns the space on the bar.

A blackberry margarita or a gin smash takes a short pour. So does a lemonade or an iced tea that should taste like fruit rather than like 'berry' in the abstract. Cafes put it in frappés. Hotel bars and event lists use it when the red drink should not be grenadine.
